Toad has escorted Luigi and Daisy into the palace safe room where they are reunited with Mario and Reznor. It’s time to regroup and figure out just what the Portal Creatures were after.
Uh oh: “SUBCON.” That’s a name to run away from… Wonder what it is?
Here it is: our concept behind Subcon. It went from being a hidden dreamverse to a military installation. Quite fitting, I think, as this is Wart’s headquarters. Obviously, Luigi wants to take the fight there.
We’re sure you all will notice the shift in art style. This is because Eryk Donovan, our original artist, parted the project to focus on his own work. We had to find a suitable replacement, which also explains the longer than usual delay. We hope no one minds. We believe Luisa Russo to be fully capable of continuing the adventure as effectively as Eryk was, if not more so. Please note that a new artist means a new creative direction. Luigi now no long has any facial hair and is wearing his full super suit. Classic!
